American Saddlebred Horses
The love for the American Saddlebred horse dates back to as far as 1971, when Ria Steyn imported her first American Saddlebred horses by ship from the USA.
By importing the best international bloodlines Valley Venture was assured great success in the show ring. The continued love for the breed from Ria’s daughter Tina and her son Willie saw many classes being won in all divisions including the title of 5 time consecutive 3-gaited SA Grand Champion which was bred and sold by Valley Venture Stud.
“A horse is the projection of peoples’ dreams about themselves — strong, powerful, beautiful — and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.
At Valley Venture Stud we strive to breed the perfect American Saddlebred Horses exhibiting a sense of presence, style and a spirited, yet gentle temperament. Bred to perform with their natural high stepping motion and beautiful neck carriage, they carry themselves with an attitude that is elusive of description – some call it class, presence, style or charm. This superior air distinguishes their every movement.
